2023 New Products from the Dudes

For 2023 the Dudes at Stream Dudes have released a few pieces of equipment designed to take your broadcasts on the road. Portability is a major theme with these items: The Ringer Walterweight and Heavyweight briefcase style switchers; The KnockOut 12-channel transcoding machine; Brandt, the 2U vMix Dude Rack priced at under $5000. Lets take a look.

The Ringer: Take your Productions on the Road

In early March, The Ringer—the new briefcase-style portable switcher—made its debut at the 2023 Arnold Sports Festival held in Columbus, Ohio, March 2 – 5. Friends of the Dudes, ADL Pro Live were given the eight-input Walterweight to use as they live streamed the events of the 2023 Arnold Amateur body building championships. Special shout out to both ADL and LeBlond Productions (who helped ADL with the event) for their part in the launch of The Ringer and for the use of the images captured at the event.

The Ringer, Stream Dude’s newest streaming machine is designed to be a powerhouse: Any producer or content creator can wield the power of an entire production team, in a compact yet portable design. According to John Basile, COO and designer of the Ringer, “The Ringer is a game changer,” said Basile, “most live streamers end up in tiny spaces and are still expected to produce big results. Setting up multiple computers, monitors, and associated cabling detracts from focusing on your client. With The Ringer…you get it all.”

Confined to a single box and travel case, The Ringer is packed with features, including: vMix Pro, Quadro GPUs (with resizable BAR RAM enabled), 1TB M.2 NVME SSD, dual-port NIC card, and a built-in 21-inch HD monitor—the largest integrated monitor available on the market today. This astonishingly powerful switcher is available in two weight classes: the 8-input Walterweight; and the 12-input Heavyweight.

Following it’s flawless debut, The Ringer traveled to Milwaukee’s UWM Panther arena March 6, for the Wisconsin eSports Summit.
